PE: The infant was febrile with a rectal temperature of 39.4°C but seemed to be comfortable. The skin lesions were distributed most prominently on the calves and the backs of the hands, with a few papules on the palms and soles. An ulcer was noted on the buccal mucosa.

มีไข้มา 6 วัน ร่วมกับ generalized vesiculobullous lesion โดยเด็กดูค่อนข้างสบายดี
สาเหตุที่น่าจะเป็นไปได้
1. Hand foot mouth disease พบผื่นนอกเหนือจาก hans foot mouth ได้
2. Chikungunya ในเด้กทารก ลักษณะผื่นเป็นเช่นนี้ได้
3. Staphylococcal scalded skin syndrome

ผู้ป่วยได้ใกล้ชิดกับเด็กที่มีผื่นแบบเดียวกันเมื่อ 1 สัปดาห์ก่อนที่จะเริ่มมีอาการโรค. แพทย์นึกถึงatypical hand, foot, and mouth disease และได้ส่งอุจจาระและ was suspected and stool vesicle swabs ไปตรวจ. พบว่ามี Coxsackie virus A6 ในทั้งสอง samples โดย reverse-transcriptase PCR และโดย partial sequencing of the virus VP1 coding region.

Enteroviruses
