This article describes a treatment performed in a 16-month Thai girl with a large chronic lesion at the tip of her tongue. The lesion was caused by her repeating tongue biting at every onset of sleeping for four weeks. Tongue biting is an oral-self mutilation behavior which associated with neurological and / or psychiatric disorders. Hence, she was treated by drug prescription (Clonazepam 0.75 mg/kg/day) together with modified mouthguard reinforced with headgear. With full co-operation of the parents, the lesion at the tongue tip completely healed in three week time and the patient was referred back to her physician for further follow-up and treatment.
