A simple and rapid method for the determination of lead in normal saline solution was devel-oped. Stripping potentiometry and the up-side-down combined electrode with a vibrating sample drop were used. It was found that the lower limit of detection was 0.3 mg L-1 and the linear working concentration range was approximately 0 to 2500 mg L-1. Lead in a normal saline solution can be determined in less than 10 minutes and the lead concentrations were found to be 40.524.20 mg L-1 with the sensitivity around 3.3 ms L mg-1.
