Key words : deproteinized skim rubber, Savinase, Opticlean

Savinase 16.0L NR enzyme could coagulated the uncoagulated skim latex with 10% H2SO4 more effective than Opticlean enzyme did approximately 3-4 times and also reduced more nitrogen content in skim rubber than Opticlean Enzyme did approximately 2-4 time. pH value at coagulation point with 10% H2SO4 by using Opticlean enzyme and Savinase 16.0L NR enzyme were between 9.70-10.30 and 9.50-10.40 respectively. The higher concentration of both enzyme dosages enhanced the ability of skim latex to coagulate and also decreased nitrogen content in skim rubber. The higher concentration of enzyme dosage (> 0.10%), sticky surface and darken color in skim rubber would occur. The properties of raw deproteinized skim rubber (which treated with Savinase 16.0L NR); such as nitrogen content, dirt content, ash content, volatile matter content, mooney viscosity, plasticity and plasticity retention index were lower than untreated skim rubber but the color of deproteinized skim rubber was darken. Vulcanization behaviours of deproteinized skim rubber by Oscillating Disk Rheometer 2000 using MBTS and CBS as accelerator, gave shorter scorch time and longer cure time. Physical properties of vulcanized deproteinized skim rubber i.e. rebound resilience, yerzley resilience, flex resistance, cut growth resistance, akron abrasion index, tensile strength, 300% modulus and elon-gation at break were higher than untreated skim rubber but compound plasticity, hardness, compression set, yerzley hysteresis, static modulus, effective dynamic modulus, dynamic frequency deformation, heat build up and tensile properties after ageing were inferior.
