The objectives of this research are 1) to study the misunderstood of Thai scholars about the biography of the prophet Muhammad (PBUH) found in the books, the text books and some dic-tionaries. 2) to study the misunderstood of Thai scholars about the teaching of prophet Muhammad (PBUH) found in the books, the text books and some dictionaires.

In this research, the researchers have conducted the methodology as follow :-

1. Studying and Collecting the information from the books, the text books and some dictiona-ries which were written by Thai scholars, then grouping the information into two important parts. The first part is the biography of the prophet and the second one is the teaching of the prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

2. Studying the sound evidence of the historiography of the prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his teaching such as al-Qur'an and al-hadith.

3. Printing the information by grouping into two important parts as item 1.

4. Conducting the Seminar among Muslim scholars, expertising in the biography and teaching of the prophet Muhammad (PBUH), then discussing and analysing the deviation information about the prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his teaching of Thai Scholars.

5. Managing the information by the indicating the misunderstood information, and showing the sound evidence. If there are many chain reporters, the researchers well take the strongest evidence. If Thai scholars wrote the same sentences, the researchers will repeat them again.

6. Checking the words taken from the Arabic Language and correcting them.

7. Printing the research report.

8. The researchers report will be checked by three Muslim scholars.

9. Correcting the research report according to the advice of three Muslim scholars.

10. Publishing the final research report.

In this research, the researcher conclude that the misunderstood of Thai Scholars about the biography and the teaching of the prophet Muhammad (PBUH) might be effected by the following cases :-

1. Reference from the prejudice orientalists in writing the Islamic history and the teaching of Islam.

2. Reference from Thai scholars repeating uncertain secondary sources.

3. Adding some unsound phrases that mislead the fact.

4. Compare the behavioral similarity of the prophet Muhammad (PBUH) with the prophet of the other religions.

5. Using the weak evidence and unreliable.

6. Using the wrong vocabularies deviating from the principle of Islam.

7. Prejudicing in analyzing and reasoning.

The researchers assume that the major causes of the misunderstood of Thai scholars are item 1 and item 2, the others are the minors.
