The exploration and collection of medicinal plants in Muang and Nongjig District Pattani Pro-vince were carried out from July 1998 to March 1999 in two area types i.e. Mangrove and wetland.
The ethnomedical knowledge from folk herbalists and the experts including with name, family, morphology and biology of various kinds of explored medicalplant was investigated and collected.
It was found that there are 36 families and 90 species of medicinal plant in this area.
