A common failure found in the removable partial denture is fracture of metal framework. Every component of the metal framework is breakable. This article reviews the studies of removable partial denture failure and discusses the factors related to fracture of the metal framework on the topic of force and mechanical property of the framework, which hopefully will be the preventive guideline for such failure.
