The descriptive research aimed to follow-up and evaluate nursing graduates' competencies perceived by graduates and their supervisors. The competencies were measured within 5 processes : nursing process, teaching-learning, administration, self-study and research, and ethical development. Samples included 158 nursing graduates in 4--year program and 2-year program, and 145 supervisors. Data were collected using questionnaires including sample's general information, nursing graduates' perceptions of their competencies, and supervisor's perception of graduates' competencies. Percentage, mean, standard deviation and t-test were used for data analysis.
The results showed that both group of samples perceived nursing graduates' competencies in using nursing process, teaching-learning process, administrative process, and self study/research process at the average level, where as perceived graduates' competencies in ethical development at the high level. Comparison between graduates and their supervisors, it was found that graduates significantly perceived themselves at the higher level than supervisors (p<.05).
