1. To produce highly qualified physicians, specialists, and health personnel with medical ethics in order to serve the needs of the society with an emphasis on a lifelong continuing education>
2. To promote nationally and internationally recognized research which addresses the national health problems, especially those of the southern part of the country
3. To provide outstanding medical services in order to support the production of health care personnel and specialists and to maintain the Faculty’s status as a tertiary care and referral center for southern Thailand>

Policies on medical education management
Instructors:
1. To set criteria in selecting instructors which comply with the Faculty’s directions of development
2. To clearly indicate the staff’s responsibilities in a manner consistent with the Faculty’s missions
3. To continually develop instructors in professional skills and knowledge, research, and being good models for the medical students
4. To monitor and evaluate staff development with objective measures
Medical students:
1. To provide opportunities for students from southern Thailand to study medicine
2. To develop a student selection system which can select students with the potential to become high quality medical graduates
Academic support staff:
1. To clearly define the support staff’s job descriptions and to strengthen their capability to perform high quality work
Teaching and learning process
1. To organize the teaching and learning process that enables students to develop their professional qualifications with an emphasis on those of a general practitioner
2. To develop the teaching and learning activities which foster ethics
3. To arrange the teaching and learning process that fosters students’ ability in critical thinking, analyzing, synthesizing, and problem solving
4. To create a learning environment that develops students’ affective domain and the capability to continue their education
5. To select the teaching and learning content that is related to the community

1.1 To assure the quality of medical specialist training and post-graduate study

1.4 To organize a teaching and learning process which promotes critical thinking, analyzing, synthesizing and problem-solving abilities

2. Encouraging the establishment of a center of continuing education for medical doctors and all health personnel with the goal of developing it into the center for continuing education of Southeast Asia.

1. To reorganize the system, rules and regulations in personnel management for more efficiency
2. To establish an efficient and fair personnel evaluation system which is to be used continually for the eventual results of personnel development, the specification of rewards, and an effective allocation of personnel to different kinds of work
3. To arrange for systematic and continual personnel development which covers the entire system
4. To establish a communication system within the organization to build knowledge, understanding, and cooperation in the development of the Faculty towards its goals

1. To expand the revenue base through all services rendered by the Faculty.
2. To improve the administration system and regulations on finance so that it will be efficient and can be transparently examined.
3. To establish payroll and allowance systems which includes consideration on responsibility and quality of work according to the wants and needs of the Faculty.
